Refund policy
How money comes back if a night changes, a ticket is unused, or a payment fails.
Updated 9 September 2026
Who sets the refund
The host runs the night and sets whether a ticket can be refunded, exchanged, or kept. Marquee collects the payment and passes it through Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay. We do not invent a door policy for the room.
If the night is cancelled
If a host cancels, or the house has to pull the listing, you are refunded on the same rail you paid. That usually takes a few working days to show on the card or wallet.
If you cannot attend
Unused tickets follow the host. Some nights are final sale. Write to the host first. If the desk is stuck, write to hello@trymarquee.co.
The platform fee
The 8% platform fee is charged on the ticket. When a full refund is issued for a cancelled night, the fee is returned with it. A partial host refund may keep the fee — we will say so on the till.
Failed or double charges
If a payment fails, no pass is written. If you are charged twice, send the two references to hello@trymarquee.co and we will reverse the extra one.
